The View of Japan Alps

I climbed Mt. Tateshina yesterday in a fine weather. From the top of 2530m above sea level, white mountain range of Japan Alps was clearly seen under dark blue sky.

無風快晴の昨日、蓼科山に登る。頂上からは、北アルプスの白い屏風が展望された。

Morning in Snow

We had the deepest snow in this season this morning. The roads around our house are covered by the snow and we have to drive carefully.

今朝は今シーズン一番の雪となった。家の周りも雪におおわれた。

The View of a Snow Mountain

After several snowy days, we had a beautiful view of white Mt.tatesina behind an oak tree which shed its leaves.

The View of Mt. Fuji from Yatsugatake

Walking along the ridge of Yatsugatake, we are able to see the snow-capped Mt. Fuji. It shows pale blue silhouette and beautiful curve of the slope.

快晴の週末、北八ヶ岳にゅうで出かけると、雄大な新雪の富士山が美しく眺められた。

The Road in Yellow Forest

We had snow in Mugikusa-pass last night. I crossed the pass and went to Yachiho, where the forest of larch trees and white birches along the road was shining in golden yellow.

昨夜は、八ヶ岳に積雪があった。薄雪の峠を越えて、八千穂に出かける。道路の両側の白樺とカラマツの森が黄金色に輝いている。

Red Ivy Leaves

The autumn of colored leaves has come to the foot of Mt. Yatsugatake. The ivy which is coiled around the larch trees have shown its red leaves in our garden.

庭先のカラマツにまとわりついたツタウルシが真っ赤な色に染まってきた。

Beautiful Autumn Color

The morning temperature of our house became around 10 degrees recently. The trees in the forest of high mountains began to change its color from green to red or yellow.

標高2100メートルの白駒池に出かけてみると、湖岸のドウダンツツジが真っ赤な色に染まっている。

The pond with autumn color

After walking through the dark forest of firs and spruces, I reached to Sirakoma-pond, where the surface of it is twinkling and the leaves of azaleas along the shore are changing into autumn color.

気温も下がって、白駒池の森の木々も少しづつ色づき始めた。

The forest covered with moss

The forest ground of northern part of Yatugatake is covered with thick moss. We are able to feel the rich moisture walking in the forest after a rainy day.

久しぶりのまとまった雨の後、潤いに満ちた北八ヶ岳の森を歩く。岩を覆い尽くした厚い苔の森が続く。

Autumn Color

According to the cool weather recently, several trees in the forest near our house began to change the color of their leaves. We are looking forward to the autumn color of our forests.
この所の朝夕の少し寒い気候で、ナナカマドの葉が赤く色づき始めた。

The season of rice harvest

Paddy field near our house changed into gold. Soon farmers will harvest rice happily. We will be able to have new rice harvested this year in a few months.
近くの棚田では、黄金色の稲穂が揺れ始めた。まもなく、収穫の秋、新米の季節である。

Autumn cloud

The color of our grass field is changing to yellow and cirrus cloud is seen over Mt. Yatsugatake.

八ヶ岳には、秋の雲がたなびき、草原のススキは黄色くなってきた。

Wild Chrysanthemum

We often have occasional rain recently. Season seems to be changing to autumn. These small flowers, which are of the same class of chrysanthemum, began to bloom near our house.

近くの野原ではキクの仲間のカントウヨメナが咲き始めた。群生していて鮮やかである。

Symbol flower of women’s soccer team of Japan

We can often see this flower, Nadeshiko, in the field near our house. This has been the symbol flower of women’s soccer team of Japan. They got silver medal in the London Olympics.
女子サッカーで熱い夏が続いています。草原では、ナデシコが美しいフォルムを見せています。

A flower like swallow tails

In the grass field near our house, we could find this flower, Enbi-sennou (literally it means swallow tail). It looks more like fireworks for me.
週末、原村の八ヶ岳自然園を歩く。園内では、夏の終わりの野草がたくさん咲いている。この花はエンビセンノウ。燕尾より線香花火に似ている。

A flower of early autumn

Walking around the glass field near our house, we are able to find flowers of early autumn. This violet flower is a typical one near our area.
近くの草原ではマツムシソウが咲き始めた。夏の終わりを告げる花である。ミツバチが一心に蜜を集めている。

Shirakoma Lake

We had a blue sky after a long rain. I took a walk of the forest of needle-leaf trees from a pass of 2100m to Shirakoma Lake. Going through the dark forest, I reached the sun-shining shore of the lake.
朝、久しぶりの青空が見える。標高2100メートルの麦草峠から白駒池へと歩く。湖面は美しい青に輝いていた。

Flowers of our highland

After returning from Germany, I walked around the grassland near our house. The flowers in the field are changing to those of early autumn. This flower is Senecio flammeus ( I do not know the exact English name.)

短い夏の欧州の旅行から蓼科高原に戻って、草原を歩くと、初秋の花が咲き始めている。草原で目立つ鮮やかなコウリンカの花。

Frankfurt ( 11th day )

After returning from Stockholm, we went to the center of Frankfurt. We could see beautiful wood houses at Loemar Square.

ストックホルムからフランクフルトに戻った翌日、旧市街のレーマー広場に出かける。ここは木組みの家が美しい。

Skansen ( 10th day )

We walked aroud Skansen, Stockholm where we could see many traditional Swedish buildings (farms, factories, shops, post office and so on) and understood their old lives.
今日は市内にある野外博物館、スカンセンを訪れる。広い森の中にある敷地ではスエーデンの伝統的な生活を体験できる。

Vaxholm ( 9th day)

My friend invited us to his summer house in the suburbs of Stockholm. On the way to the house by his car, we visited Vaxholm, a small old town near Stockholm. We could see a old fortress at the other side of the town.

ストックホルム滞在2日目、郊外のバックスホルムの町を訪れる。バルト海からストックホルムへ続く要衝で200年以上前に作られた要塞が町の対岸に見える。

Stockholm ( 8th day )

We visited Stockholm, Sweden and met one of my old friends since 1980. He drove us around the town. It is a beautiful city witｈ old stone buildings and green parks.
フランクフルトから飛行機で2時間でスウェーデンのストックホルムに着く。空港で30年来の友人のＢｏ君と久しぶりに再会する。彼の車で市内を案内してもらう。ストックホルムは、古い石造りの建物が並び、緑におおわれた美しい町である。

Frankfurt ( 7th day )

We stayed in Frankfurt today. We enjoyed a walk in a big park near our son's house.

７日目、フランクフルトに滞在する。近くの緑豊かな公園を息子夫婦、孫娘と散策する。

Wuerzburg ( 6th Day )

After returned to Frankfurt, we went to Wuerzburg with our son, his wife and their daughter. We visited Marienberg Fortress at first and enjoyed the fine view of the town.
フランクフルトに戻った次の日、近くのビュルツブルクに出かける。郊外のマリエンベルグ要塞からは美しい町を見下ろすことが出来た。

Flam Railway ( 5th Day)

We took Flam Railway and left for Bergen. The train climbed the narrow valley to Myrdal slowly. We could see the high rock walls at both sides of the valley. The train stopped at Kjosfossen water fall for the passengers. It was an amazing water fall and a lady sang a song near the fall.
フロムを出て、狭い渓谷をフロム鉄道で海抜０メートルから８００メートルのミュールダールへ登る。両側には氷河で削られた岩壁が続く。途中のクヨスフォッセン滝で電車が止まり、乗客は滝を見物する。滝の横で鉄道会社の女性が歌を唄い、雰囲気を高めてくれる。

Flam, Norway ( 4th day )

We went to Stagastein Viewpoint by a tour bus to look down Sogne Fjord. Though it was cloudy, we could have a nice view of the blue fjord from the high point. After returning from the tour, we walked around the suburbs of Flam. Tomorrow we will have a trip of Flam Railway to Bergen. We are expecting the train trip in the mountains.
四日目は、フロムに滞在し、ステーガスタイン展望台にバスで登る。見下ろすソグネフィヨルドは蒼く、麓のオーランドの村が見下ろせる。

Flam, Norway ( 3rd day)

We traveled from Bergen to Flam through Sognefjord by a rapid ship. It was rain in bergen but became clear approaching to Flam. We could enjoy the picturesque view of the fjord. Flam is a beautiful town surrounded by rock mountains and the fjord.
ベルゲンから高速船でソグネフィヨルドに入る。写真は北海からフィヨルドに入る辺り。

Bergen, Norway ( 2nd day)

My wife and I started the fjord tour of Norway. We arrived at Bergen Airport this morning. We walked around the city of Bergen today. The street of Bryggen made of many old wooden houses was beatiful.

フランクフルトからベルゲンへ向かい、ノルウェイ旅行を始める。今日はベルゲンの市内を散策する。世界遺産のブリュゲンの町並みは美しい。

Frankfurt, 1st day

After 11 hour flight from Tokyo, I arrived at Frankfurt Airport. I met my granddaughter Tomoko here.
11時間のフライトでフランクフルトに到着。さっそく、孫娘の智子と対面する。

夏雲湧く峠

7月26日、八ヶ岳北端の大河原峠にでかける。峠の上には夏空に入道雲が湧き、草原の緑が美しい。

ケシの青い花

八ヶ岳麦草峠では、ヒマラヤの青いケシの大きな花が咲き始めた。日本の高山植物にない原色の花である。

タムラソウとアゲハチョウ

梅雨空の原村八ヶ岳自然園にでかける。草叢では、タムラソウが咲き、アゲハチョウが一心に蜜を吸っていた。

月見草

路傍の草叢では、大きな月見草が咲き始めた。太宰の富嶽百景の「富士には月見草がよく似合う。」の文章が思い出されるが、月見草と富士山が一緒の風景は見たことが無い。

レンゲツツジの霧ヶ峰

久しぶりの青空の下、霧ヶ峰の草原を車で走る。標高1600メートルの草原は緑に覆われ、爽やかな風が吹き抜ける。車山湿原を歩くと、カッコウの声が響き、レンゲツツジに赤くおおわれた草原が美しい。

金峰山のシャクナゲ

梅雨の合間の週末、若い人たちと川上村の廻り目平にキャンプに出かける。ここは小川山の岩峰に囲まれたフリークライミングのメッカである。登攀用具を身につけた人たちと行きかう。日曜日、千曲川沿いの道を歩いて金峰山に出かける。登り道にかかる頃からあちこちにアズマシャクナゲが大きな花を広げている。

オダマキ

近くの竜神池ではオダマキが咲き始めた。黄色い花びらをカールさせて。下を向いて咲いている。

イワカガミ

梅雨空が続くこの頃、高原の岩陰ではイワカガミが咲き始めた。小さいピンクの花が可愛らしい。

クリンソウ

６月に入り、少し湿ったいずみ平の森ではクリンソウが咲き始めた。茎の周りにたくさんのピンク色の花を付けている。

ニホンカモシカとの遭遇

気候も良くなり、森の動物達も活発に活動している。我が家近くに姿を現したニホンカモシカ君。毎年春先に庭のタラノメを食べにくる。

井戸尻のアヤメ

快晴の週末、ＪＲ信濃境駅近くの井戸尻に出かける。湿地には、カキツバタが大きな花を咲かせている。

ヒトリシズカの花

森の中の日陰になった所でヒトリシズカが咲き始めた。鎌倉時代の静御前が舞うところにちなんだ名前だとか。

スズランの花

入笠山の麓のＪＲすずらんの里駅の花壇ではスズランが咲き始めた。白い小さな花が可愛らしい。

ショウジョウバカマの花

蓼科高原の枯れた草原でショウジョウバカマ（猩猩袴）の赤い花が咲き始めた。おもしろい命名である。

白樺の芽吹き

気温も上がって春らしい気候となってきた。近くの原村の白樺林も黄色い芽を吹き始めた。

北八ヶ岳の森と湖

ようやく雪も消え、北八ヶ岳にも春の日差しが降り注ぎ始めた。森に囲まれた双子池の水もようやく融け始めた。まだ、歩く人も少ないこの時期、湖畔には静かで豊かな時間が流れる。

花桃満開

近くのお家の花桃が満開となった。木一杯に白い花を付けている。

蓼科聖光寺の桜

連休の終わり、蓼科湖近くの聖光寺の桜が満開となった。寺の境内は白い花でおおわれている。

阿弥陀岳を登る

連休後半、蓼科にやって来た若い人達と南に延びる尾根から阿弥陀岳に登りました。この時期の八ヶ岳は天候に恵まれると、楽しい春山を楽しめます。

ドイツの桜

ドイツ・ディッセルドルフに滞在中のＴさんより、自宅近くの桜並木の写真が送られてきました。ドイツも春が訪れているようです。それにしても美しい通りと町並みです。

こぶしの花

我が家の周りでも山国に春を告げるコブシの花が咲き始めた。背が高い木に白い大きな花をたくさん咲かせている。
