Orange Azalea

We have rainy days recently. I visited Kirigamine this Saturday. We were able to see clustered orange flowers of azalea in the foggy grassland.

Fairy Slippers

We are able to find fairy slippers in the moist forest near our house in this season. The orchid bears a solitary white to pink flower marked with purple at the tip of an erect stalk. They are called “Hotei-Orchid” in Japan since the flower looks the smiling face of legend god Hotei.

Daffodils and Cherry Blossoms

Spring has come to our mountainous country. Cherry blossoms are blooming along a river side with yellow flowers of daffodils. We are enjoying this warm weather seeing flowers here and there.

Cherry Blossoms in Our Town

We have flower-season here. I enjoyed cherry blossoms near Suwa Lake on this Saturday. We also saw carp streamers flied with cherry blossoms on the hill near the lake. These streamers are flied wishing children's good health. 

Rapeseed Flowers in Boso Peninsular

The snow melted recently but we are still not able to see spring flowers here. So I visited Boso Peninsular this end of March to see the Pacific Ocean and flowers with my wife. The place is 1 and half hours from Tokyo. The weather is quite warm and we could enjoy yellow rapeseed flowers along the local train rail.

A Happy New Year !

We had a calm New Years Day here in Tateshina. We coul see a beautiful snowy mountain of Yatsugatake from the foot.

Autumn Colors

At a fine morning, I visited Sirakoma Pond, which is located aｔ 2100 meters in Yatugtake. The shore of the pond is colored in red and yellow leaves.
